Repertorio Español’s “La dama boba” Now Streaming!

Available now for streaming, Repertorio’s production of Lope de Vega’s La dama boba makes great use of the affordances of Zoom theater. Adapted and directed by Leyma López and brilliantly acted by a strong cast, the production showcases the appeal of this lively play, full of irony and wit. As two sisters—the learned Nise (Soraya Padrao) and the supposedly simple Finea (Zulema Clares)—variously resist the expectations of femininity, they chart new paths for female agency under impossible circumstances.
