Red Bull Theater Reads the Classics

Red Bull Theater Reads the Classics

In 2019-20, Red Bull Theater will be diving into the world of the comedia, and selecting a play translated by the Working Group on the Comedia in Performance and Translation for their “Revelation Readings” series.  This series aims to perform classics that are rarely produced, in original readings and also in adaptation. While past performances by the company include Thomas Kyd’s The Spanish Tragedy and adaptations  of works by Shakespeare, such as The Taming of the Shrew, this will be the first time the group brings the classics of the Spanish Golden Age to the stage. The reading will take place on a Monday night, at the Lucille Lortel Theater in New York. Details forthcoming: https://www.redbulltheater.com/revelation-readings-2018-2019
