Diversifying the Classics Coast to Coast

This September, celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a four-part series of virtual events focusing on our new translation of a play by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, the famous playwright, poet, and nun writing in Mexico in the latter half of the seventeenth century.

Diversifying the Classics is partnering with Repertorio Español and Red Bull Theater in New York to present Love is the Greater Labyrinth (Amor es más laberinto) in Spanish and English readings, followed by interactive talks with the scholars, directors, and actors who are bringing Hispanic Golden Age classics to life today. The series of free virtual events kicks off on Monday, September 20th – find more information about the schedule and how to watch here: https://www.redbulltheater.com/hispanic-golden-age-classics-sor-juana This series is supported by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain.
