Ana Caro at Bowdoin, Sor Juana at Michigan State

We are thrilled to announce two new productions of our translations:

Next winter, Bowdoin College will present Ana Caro’s The Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs, under the able direction of our long-term collaborator and UCLA MFA grad Sylvia Cervantes Blush. Margaret Boyle, noted specialist in the women of comedia, will serve as dramaturg. The production will also include the early modern music ensemble La Chimera, led by Eduardo Egüez and collaboration with musicologist Ireri Chávez-Bárcenas, expert in early modern Hispanic song. The production will run Feb. 29-March 2, 2024, with set design led by Germán Cárdenas-Alaminos.

In other exciting news, Sor Juana´s Love is the Greater Labyrinth will be staged at Michigan State University in the first week of September, 2023 as part of their “Storefront Initiative,” under the direction of Oscar Rodriguez Quiroz.

We will post updates as we receive them.
