Staged Reading of Women and Servants in New York

On December 10, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Church of the Epiphany (1393 York Avenue at 74th Street) New York Classical Theater will present a staged reading of Barbara Fuchs’ translation of Women and Servants. In this exciting reading of Lope de Vega’s recently rediscovered play, we eavesdrop on “women and servants” as they plot to outsmart fathers and masters to marry those they love.

The reading is sponsored by the New York City Council’s Cultural Immigrant Initiative and Council Members Ben Kallos, with special thanks to the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Actors’ Equity Association, and the Church of the Epiphany.
