Ana Caro Goes to Stratford! 8/18 @ 8pm ET

As part of its series on expanding the canon with works by women, the Stratford Theater Festival in Canada is hosting a staged reading of Diversifying the Classics’ translation of The Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs by Ana Caro. Entitled “The Feminist Expansion of the Western Canon,” the series is based on Hannah Rittner’s research project that uncovered 400-plus plays by women between the 17th and 21st centuries. Rittner seeks to “showcase women fighting against injustice through acts of uprising.” More info here.
