Laura Muñoz

Assistant Professor

Laura Muñoz is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Colorado Mesa University where she teaches courses in language, literature, and translation/interpreting studies. Her research interests include bilingual theater, translation studies, adaptation studies, and the works of Valencian playwright Guillén de Castro. She is a founding member of Diversifying the Classics and has collaborated on every translation since the group’s inception, as well as a co-translation of Guillén de Castro’s Unhappily Married in Valencia alongside Veronica Wilson (2019). She has served as dramaturg for several staged readings and productions of Hispanic classical theater in and around Los Angeles.
