Rebecca Ogden Smith is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature at UCLA studying early modern texts in Spanish and Nahuatl. Her project focuses on the translation and adaptation of Castilian religious theater into Nahuatl in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Rebecca has been a Diversifying the Classics member since 2022. In addition to translator, Rebecca serves as DTC’s blog editor and works on DTC’s LA Escena, MEX-Clásicos, and Radio Comedia initiatives.
