About the play
Danna has lived an idyllic life on her family’s farm. After the death of her father, her childhood best friend, Marcia, returns to help settle the estate. When Marcia begins a relationship with farmhand Guillermo, Danna comes up with a plan to break them up by being someone else.
Golden Tongues is a collaboration between Diversifying the Classics and Playwrights’ Arena. Since 2013, the Golden Tongues initiative has commissioned and staged new adaptations in English of Hispanic classical plays by Los Angeles playwrights.
